PROJECTS
-
Forced to reconnect on the road to her final dance competition, a father and daughter must confront their fractured relationship. As they navigate a shared tragedy, the whirlwind of the Young Miss Southeast Regional Dance Finals becomes the backdrop for their journey toward healing. She Dances is a story about rediscovering family and finding yourself—about accepting what is, letting it shape you, and recognizing who you are through the memories of those you love most.
-
YOU BELONG HERE is an exploration of memory, generational legacy, and the seasonality of life through the eyes of Chef Ouita Michel.
In this series she will delve into universal human themes while celebrating the food, people and places that are the fundamental ingredients of her community.
Chef Ouita has held certain truths at her center. Her ethos is built upon the concept of old recipes made by young people in new ways. A deep understanding of heritage and hand to hand learning. With the overriding notion that all are welcome.

An Uncandid Portrait is an immersive character study of completely fictitious characters. An exclusive all access pass to the deepest and darkest corners of its completely imagined subjects.
It is a chance to intimately engage in the fabricated work and lives of tricksters who might just shift your perspective.
We like to say If Black Mirror was developed in the technology department of a university, then An Uncandid Portrait was probably cooked up in the basement of an unemployed Arts and Humanities major.
IN DEVELOPMENT
-
Hot Fruit is the darkly comedic and strangely twisting story of Danny Herz, a widowed winemaker, adrift in uncertainty and grief. In order to move forward Danny needs only one thing: the first harvest of the grapes that grow on the vineyard he planted with his late wife, June. The owner of that vineyard and former boss to Danny and June, Evan Praxton, knows the grapes have a secret and rejects Danny’s plea to buy them. Evan will never give up his cherished fruit. Ever.
These grapes are all Danny has left. They are his and they are June’s. So, with the help of his marijuana-growing-desperado-sister-in-law, Rose, and her band of misfit outlaws, Danny hatches a plan to heist all six acres of grapes from under Evan’s nose. And in the process, Danny must confront haunting secrets and illuminating truths about his life, his lost love, and the grapes he would stop at nothing to plunder.

It’s 1991, and Stick and Jomari perform for the Pimpernal Players, a ragtag two-man educational exploration and theater experience curated for a concoction of twelve-year-old run-of-the-mill parochial school miscreants and kids suffering from undiagnosed ADHD.
Randomly teamed up, Stick and Jomari now share a shitty bright red Mazda MPV stuffed to the gills with dirty costumes, substandard props, and stage sets in desperate need of repair, as they navigate the American Southeast while trying to find their place in a mutable world. With big dreams in their heads, and very little money in their pockets, they wrestle with the day-to-day trials of being part of a two-man scholastic theater tour while still seeing the world as full of possibility and inherently built upon madness and magic.

Based on the best selling book series by Robyn Peterman, The world of GOOD TO THE LAST DEATH is a stranger, sillier, scarier, sexier, and far more interesting place than mortals could ever imagine.
At its heart, GOOD TO THE LAST DEATH is about women’s relationships with each other, who are taking agency of their lives, and who acknowledge themselves as sexual beings at every age. The magic and mayhem are metaphors used to explore the ways women interact with the world and often apologize for the space they take up in it. It’s only by dealing with their “unfinished business” and claiming their own power that women accept they are whole beings unto themselves.
GOOD TO THE LAST DEATH is a hysterically funny and moving supernatural series about a woman finding herself, her power, and her family— the one she was born with and the one she creates— in her second act.
